Juniper Green Energy IPO Opens July 30

Juniper Green Energy, a renewable energy company, will open its ₹1,800-crore initial public offering (IPO) for public subscription on July 30. The issue will close on August 3.

The IPO is a fresh issue of equity shares, with no offer-for-sale (OFS) component, as stated in the company's red herring prospectus (RHP) filed on Thursday. The anchor investor bidding will open on July 29.

Juniper Green Energy plans to use the IPO proceeds to repay or prepay some of its borrowings, amounting to ₹683.24 crore. Additionally, the company will invest ₹728.69 crore in its subsidiaries to help them repay or prepay their outstanding loans. The remaining funds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The company, backed by Singapore-based AT Capital Group, develops, builds, and operates utility-scale solar, wind, hybrid, and battery energy storage projects across India. Juniper Green Energy has been expanding its renewable energy portfolio, including commissioning India's first merchant 100 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan.

The company has an integrated platform spanning project development, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations. It is focused on expanding its presence in renewable energy and energy storage solutions.

ICICI Securities, HSBC Securities, and Capital Markets (India), JM Financial, and Kotak Mahindra Capital Company are the book-running lead managers to the issue, while KFin Technologies is the registrar. The company's equity shares are proposed to be listed on the BSE and the NSE.

Juniper Green Energy's revenue has been growing, with ₹424.4 crore in FY24, ₹570 crore in FY25, and ₹805 crore in FY26. The company's profit after tax (PAT) was ₹40 crore in FY24, ₹36.5 crore in FY25, and ₹40.5 crore in FY26.

The IPO is expected to help Juniper Green Energy reduce its debt and expand its renewable energy projects. The company's expansion plans are in line with India's growing focus on renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions.

In the long run, Juniper Green Energy's IPO is expected to contribute to the growth of the renewable energy sector in India. The company's plans to expand its presence in renewable energy and energy storage solutions will help reduce the country's dependence on fossil fuels and promote sustainable energy sources.
