UPSSSC Selects 50 Junior Assistants

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has announced the final result for the recruitment of Junior Assistants in the Industrial Development Department. On Friday, the Commission declared that 50 candidates have been selected based on the Junior Assistant Main Examination.

The recruitment process was conducted in accordance with the prescribed rules, merit, and reservation provisions. This move further strengthens the Yogi Government's commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment system in the state.

Initially, applications were invited for 62 Junior Assistant posts. However, following a revised requisition from the department, the number of vacancies was reduced to 54. Based on the revised vacancies, the Commission completed the selection process and made the final selection of 50 candidates.

Of the 50 selected candidates, 34 belong to the Unreserved category, 3 to Scheduled Castes, 1 to Scheduled Tribes, 7 to Other Backward Classes, and 5 to the Economically Weaker Sections category. The Commission clarified that candidates eligible under horizontal reservation were adjusted within their respective original categories.

Prescribed procedures were followed for women, persons with disabilities, and other categories covered under horizontal reservation. In certain categories where eligible candidates were not available against the notified vacancies, the posts were carried forward, and other eligible candidates were selected in accordance with the rules.

The Commission has also released category-wise cut-off marks along with the final result. The cut-off for the Unreserved category stood at 65 marks, while it was 26.75 marks for Scheduled Castes, 50 marks for Scheduled Tribes, 62.50 marks for OBC candidates, and 63.75 marks for EWS candidates.

Under horizontal reservation, the cut-off for persons with disabilities in the ASD/HH/DE/OH category was 54.75 marks, while the cut-off for other disability categories was 44.25 marks. The cut-off for women candidates was recorded at 42 marks.

The Yogi Government has consistently emphasized making government recruitments transparent, fair, and merit-based. The final result of the Junior Assistant recruitment is another step in that direction. The selection process has been completed on the basis of the written examination, document verification, and applicable reservation provisions.

The Commission has clarified that the final selection result shall remain subject to the orders that may be passed in the related petitions pending before the High Court. In addition, five candidates have been included provisionally, and their final selection will remain subject to the Commission's decision.

The names of the selected candidates and the category-wise cut-off marks have been made available on the Commission's official website.

The declaration of the final result for Junior Assistant recruitment is a significant step towards strengthening the state's recruitment system. It reflects the government's commitment to transparency and merit-based selection, ensuring that the most deserving candidates are selected for the posts.

In the context of the state's efforts to improve its recruitment processes, this move is a positive step forward. It demonstrates the government's dedication to creating a fair and transparent system, where candidates are selected based on their merit and qualifications.

The final result of the Junior Assistant recruitment is expected to have a positive impact on the state's administration, as it will lead to the appointment of qualified and deserving candidates to these posts.
