Mumbai Man Found Dead In Auto

A 35-year-old man, Adnan Ahmed Waliappa, was found dead inside an auto-rickshaw in Ghatkopar on Thursday.

The police have registered an Accidental Death Report and are investigating the matter further.

According to the police, Waliappa had been living separately from his family for the past three months and was struggling with alcohol addiction. He had previously spoken about ending his life.

In a separate incident, a 27-year-old man, Aniket Balasaheb Jagtap, died by suicide at his residence in Malegaon. The police have registered a case against his wife, in-laws, and aunt, alleging mental harassment.

Aniket's family claims that he was under severe mental distress due to frequent disputes with his wife, Shruti Jagtap. Shruti had reportedly refused to live with Aniket and had filed a police complaint against him.

The police have arrested Aniket's in-laws, but his wife and aunt are absconding. The deceased's family has demanded the immediate arrest of the remaining accused.

The two incidents highlight the growing concern of mental health and suicide in the city. The police are investigating both cases and are working to provide support to the families of the deceased.

The Parksite police station is handling the Ghatkopar case, while the Camp police station is investigating the Malegaon case. The police are urging anyone with information about the incidents to come forward.

Mental health experts say that suicide is often a result of a combination of factors, including mental illness, substance abuse, and social isolation. They emphasize the importance of seeking help and support for those struggling with mental health issues.

The city has seen a rise in suicide cases in recent years, with many incidents going unreported. The police and mental health experts are working together to raise awareness and provide support to those in need.

In the meantime, the families of the deceased are left to pick up the pieces and try to make sense of the tragic events. The community is coming together to offer support and condolences to those affected.

The investigation into both cases is ongoing, and the police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The city is in mourning, and the incidents serve as a reminder of the importance of prioritizing mental health and seeking help when needed.

The incidents also highlight the need for greater support and resources for those struggling with mental health issues. The city needs to come together to provide a safety net for those in need and to work towards preventing such tragedies in the future.

As the investigation continues, the city is left to wonder what could have been done to prevent these tragic events. The answer, however, is complex and multifaceted, and will require a concerted effort from the community, the police, and mental health experts.
