South Western Railway GM Inspects Bengaluru Depot

P. Ananth, General Manager of South Western Railway, inspected the Coaching Depot at Bengaluru and reviewed various coach maintenance activities.

The inspection took place today, where the General Manager visited the Sick Line and Intermediate Overhauling (IOH)/SS-1 Line. He reviewed train maintenance activities, including scheduled overhauling of ICF/LHB coaches.

Ananth also inspected the stores, staff facilities, and other infrastructure at the Depot. He interacted with the staff, taking feedback on maintenance activities and working conditions.

The General Manager reviewed infrastructure development works planned at the Coaching Depot, discussing measures to improve facilities and maintenance infrastructure.

Later, Ananth held a meeting with Divisional and Construction Officers at the Divisional Railway Manager’s Office. He reviewed ongoing new railway line projects, infrastructure development works, and the status of land acquisition.

The meeting also discussed the progress of these projects. M. Mallesh Babu, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Kolar, met Ananth and discussed various railway infrastructure and development works in Kolar district.

Senior officers, including Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Bengaluru Division, and Sunil N. Maske, Principal Chief Engineer, SWR, were present.
