CJI Surya Kant Lays Foundation Stone For ₹18.66-Crore Judges' Guest House

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav performed a ground-breaking ceremony and laid the foundation stone for a modern judges' guest house in Ujjain on Friday evening. The guest house will be constructed on approximately 1.947 acres of land with an estimated cost of ₹18.66 crore.

The building is proposed to be a G+1 structure, equipped with modern amenities, and will provide adequate accommodations for judges visiting Ujjain from various courts and judicial institutions. The guest house will feature 15 rooms and will improve accommodation for visiting judicial dignitaries.

On the occasion, CM Mohan Yadav presented a replica of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple to the CJI. The District Bar Association presented photographs of Lord Mahakaleshwar to all the judges who attended the event.

The CJI also visited the Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple and offered prayers to Lord Shri Mahakaleshwar during his visit to the city. He was welcomed by temple authorities and district officials and was presented with Baba Mahakal's prasad and a memento.
