UP CM Yogi Adityanath signs MoU for cook insurance, felicitates 11 cooks

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the Cook Social Security initiative in Lucknow, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide accidental insurance assistance of ₹2 lakh to cooks working in schools. The MoU was signed between Additional Chief Secretary Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma and SBI Chief General Manager Deepesh Raj at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan.
The initiative aims to provide social security to cooks working under the PM POSHAN (Mid-Day Meal) Scheme. A short film highlighting the achievements of the scheme was also screened during the event.
CM Yogi Adityanath also visited various stalls and took information about the progress of different schemes. He interacted with children, explaining the Nipun Tarazu initiative, and gave them chocolates. Girl students at the Meena Manch stall requested the Chief Minister to take selfies with them, which he happily obliged.
The Chief Minister also performed the annaprashan ceremony for two six-month-old children, Anita and Mohammad Ali, feeding them kheer and presenting them with toys.
As part of the initiative, CM Yogi Adityanath felicitated 11 cooks and presented them with cashless medical cards, uniform kits, and cheques for their enhanced honorarium. The felicitated cooks included Kiran Devi, Asha Tiwari, Sunita, Sudesh Devi, Sarita Dixit, Geeta Devi, Seema Singh, Rekha Devi, Pinky Devi, Khilana, and Rekha.
