Latur Introduces Special Aadhaar Process For Elderly Farmers

A special procedure has been introduced in Latur to enable elderly farmers and those with fingerprint issues to complete Aadhaar authentication under the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Shetkari Karjmukti Yojana 2026.

According to Joint Registrar of the Cooperative Department Nanasaheb Chavan, concerned farmers should visit their nearest Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra to complete the process. They are required to carry their Aadhaar card and bank passbook when visiting the centre.

The authentication process begins with verifying loan account details using the relevant account number or Aadhaar number on the scheme's portal. If a fingerprint does not match during Aadhaar authentication, the farmer should attempt authentication using different fingers at least three times.

If authentication fails even after three attempts, the farmer should select the 'Authentication not possible' option. The Aaple Sarkar Seva Kendra operator will then carry out the Aadhaar authentication using their own fingerprint.

The case will be forwarded to the Tehsildar, who will verify the farmer's documents, including the Aadhaar card, bank passbook, and 7/12 extract, to establish their identity. Once the identity is confirmed based on the Aadhaar number and submitted documents, the authentication process will be completed.

After completing the Aadhaar authentication, the benefits under the loan waiver scheme will be credited online to the accounts of eligible farmers as per the scheme's criteria.

Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies Deepak Tavare has instructed officials to take immediate action regarding Aadhaar authentication for elderly farmers and those whose fingerprints do not match, as per the prescribed procedure.

This special procedure aims to facilitate the loan waiver process for elderly farmers and those with fingerprint issues, ensuring they receive the benefits they are eligible for under the scheme.

The introduction of this special procedure is a significant step towards addressing the challenges faced by elderly farmers and those with fingerprint issues in completing the Aadhaar authentication process.

It is expected to benefit a large number of farmers in the region, who can now complete the authentication process without any hassle.

The move is also likely to improve the overall efficiency of the loan waiver scheme, enabling eligible farmers to receive the benefits in a timely manner.

In conclusion, the special Aadhaar process introduced in Latur is a welcome move, which will facilitate the loan waiver process for elderly farmers and those with fingerprint issues. It is a significant step towards addressing the challenges faced by these farmers and ensuring they receive the benefits they are eligible for under the scheme.
