VIT-AP Students Win 4 Medals at National Taekwondo Championship

VIT-AP University students have achieved outstanding success in national and state-level sporting events, bringing glory to the University.

At the VIFA South Zone Taekwondo Championship, held in Bengaluru from July 25 to 27, 2026, VIT-AP students secured four medals at the national level. G. S. Diwakar, a student of the University, won a Gold Medal in Individual Recognized Poomsae and a Silver Medal in Kyorugi (Under 85 kg category).

Arya Pratap also delivered an outstanding performance, earning a Gold Medal in Kyorugi (Above 85 kg category) and a Silver Medal in Individual Recognized Poomsae.

In addition to their taekwondo achievements, VIT-AP students performed commendably at the State-Level Chess Tournament, organized in Vijayawada on July 26, 2026. The University's chess players secured top positions, with Peeyush Kumar Jeena finishing 6th, R. V. Bhagatheeswar Reddy finishing 7th, and Ashwin T finishing 10th.
