At the VIFA South Zone Taekwondo Championship, held in Bengaluru from July 25 to 27, 2026, VIT-AP students secured four medals at the national level. G. S. Diwakar, a student of the University, won a Gold Medal in Individual Recognized Poomsae and a Silver Medal in Kyorugi (Under 85 kg category).
Arya Pratap also delivered an outstanding performance, earning a Gold Medal in Kyorugi (Above 85 kg category) and a Silver Medal in Individual Recognized Poomsae.
