UP Woman Earns ₹30,000 as Pashu Sakhi

Shweta, a 32-year-old resident of Akbarpur Block in Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh, has transformed her life by becoming a Pashu Sakhi under the Aajeevika Mission.

She was earlier confined to household and agricultural work, but after joining the mission, she has delivered healthcare services to over 300 goats belonging to 120 households in nearly one year.

Shweta's journey as a Pashu Sakhi began when she learned about the program through the Group Sakhi of her Gram Panchayat. She underwent a three-day training under the Aajeevika Mission, which equipped her with the necessary skills to provide healthcare services to livestock.

Becoming a Pashu Sakhi has not only increased Shweta's income but has also transformed her identity in the village. She has earned approximately ₹30,000 in nearly one year, which she has used to arrange medicines, meet her children's educational expenses, and household needs.
