Leopard Rescued From Nashik House After 2-Hour Operation

A leopard entered a house in Harangaon, Peth taluka, Nashik, around 12:30 am on Tuesday, September 1. The family members, who were inside the house, managed to escape safely and locked the main door, trapping the leopard inside. This quick thinking averted a major crisis.

The leopard was spotted in the central room of the house, which is located within Subhash Raghunath Bharsat's farm. Bharsat and his family members acted prudently, exiting the house safely and locking the door from outside. After being informed, officials from the Mahaje Round (Nanashi Range) and the Nashik rescue team rushed to the spot.

The rescue operation was conducted by a team of experts, including B D Suryavanshi, D K Pathan, Krishna Gangurde, Kiran Dalvi, Abhijit Mahale, and Dr Hemraj, under the guidance of Range Forest Officer Seema Musale. Several others, including Nivrutti Pawar, Sanjay Bharsat, Shivaji Jadhav, Omkar Pawar, Kiran Jadhav, Bhaskar Jadhav, Jayprakash Wagh, and Prakash Raut, provided assistance during the operation.

The rescue team worked tirelessly throughout the night to rescue the leopard. After a two-hour operation, the leopard was successfully rescued around 4 am. The leopard was tranquilized before being rescued, ensuring a safe and smooth operation.
