Shiv Sena Launches 'Mission Gen Z' in Mumbai
Shiv Sena brings 250 young representatives together, aims to understand Gen Z concerns.

Shiv Sena has launched 'Mission Gen Z', an initiative to understand the aspirations and concerns of young people in Maharashtra.
As part of this initiative, a Youth Public Representatives' Interaction Camp was organised in Mumbai, where over 250 elected representatives aged between 20 and 30 from urban and rural parts of the state came together.
The participants included corporators, municipal council presidents, mayors, and young representatives from the cooperative sector. Shiv Sena MP Dr Shrikant Shinde guided the participants, stating that young elected representatives could serve as a bridge between the party and the younger generation.
He described them as the party's 'brand ambassadors' and said their direct interaction with young people could help translate their concerns into concrete policy measures. The participants were divided into twenty groups for discussions and idea-sharing, facilitating an exchange of experiences between urban and rural Maharashtra.
The groups discussed the varying challenges faced by young people in different regions, including Konkan, Vidarbha, Marathwada, and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Each group identified key issues concerning Gen Z and suggested measures to strengthen engagement with young people within the next 30 days.
Suggestions included developing sports complexes, improving libraries, providing career guidance, and establishing skill development centres. Participants also suggested de-addiction initiatives, self-defence training for women, and promoting youth festivals in colleges.
Shinde said the party would organise regular training programmes for young public representatives and facilitate direct interaction with Gen Z and Gen Alpha. He stressed the need for continuous dialogue with students and young people, saying the challenges faced by different age groups and regions require tailored solutions.
Minister of State Yogesh Kadam also guided the participants during the training camp. The initiative aims to create a direct channel between the younger generation and governance, and the suggestions emerging from the discussions would be conveyed to the government for appropriate action.
The launch of 'Mission Gen Z' is a significant step by Shiv Sena to engage with young people and understand their concerns. It is expected to have a positive impact on the party's relationship with the younger generation and contribute to the development of policies that cater to their needs.
In the context of Maharashtra's demographics, where a significant portion of the population is young, this initiative is crucial for the state's future development. By engaging with young people and understanding their concerns, Shiv Sena can work towards creating a better future for the state's youth.
The success of 'Mission Gen Z' will depend on the party's ability to implement the suggestions and ideas that emerge from the initiative. It will be important for the party to follow up on the discussions and ideas that were generated during the camp and work towards creating tangible outcomes.
Overall, the launch of 'Mission Gen Z' is a positive step by Shiv Sena, and its success will have a significant impact on the party's relationship with young people in Maharashtra.
