CRPF Group Centre Neemuch Celebrates 59th Raising Day

The CRPF Group Centre in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, celebrated its 59th Raising Day on Saturday with a patriotic tribute to martyrs.

The ceremony was led by Deputy Inspector General Surendra Kumar at the Shaurya Sthal, where officers paid floral tributes to fallen personnel and honoured their sacrifice.

The event included a wreath-laying programme and a collective rendition of the patriotic song Watan Ki Raah Mein Watan Ke Naujawan Shaheed Ho.

Officers also paid floral tributes at the sacred urn containing soil from Sardar Post.

The CRPF Group Centre was established on August 1, 1968, and has played a significant role in the force's history and training.

Addressing the gathering, officers highlighted the force's contribution to maintaining internal security and its continued readiness to meet future challenges.

As part of the celebrations, the traditional Bada Khana was organised in all messes of the Group Centre, continuing the long-standing customs of the force.

In a separate development, the Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) seized 2.72 tonnes of contraband, including poppy husk and opium, in four intelligence-based operations in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Three suspects were arrested, and efforts are underway to trace other members of the smuggling network.

The operations were conducted under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, and cases have been registered under the NDPS Act.
