Indore Hosts International Conference On AI-Driven Drug Development

The Indore Institute of Pharmacy, a part of the IIST Group of Institutes, has inaugurated a two-day International Conference on AI-Enabled Global Drug Development Ecosystem.

The conference, held in collaboration with Biovance Solutions, UK, aims to bring together experts from various fields to discuss the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in pharmaceutical sciences.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Dr Montu K Patel, president of the Pharmacy Council of India, and Dr Deependra Singh, chairman of the Education Regulations Committee.

In his address, Dr Patel highlighted the growing importance of AI and digital transformation in strengthening pharmacy education and professional practice. He also discussed the Pharmacy Council of India's digital initiatives, which aim to improve transparency, accountability, and quality in pharmacy education.

Arun S Bhatnagar, group advisor of Sparsh and IIST Group of Institutes, spoke about the benefits of AI in clinical research, regulatory science, drug discovery, and patient safety.

According to Dr Nimita Manocha, principal of the Indore Institute of Pharmacy, the conference is one of the first comprehensive initiatives in Madhya Pradesh to focus on AI across the pharmaceutical product lifecycle.
