Rajbhar Attacks Akhilesh Yadav Over Casteist Remarks

Uttar Pradesh government minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party and its national president Akhilesh Yadav. He alleged that with defeat looming in the elections, Samajwadi Party leaders and workers have resorted to caste-based abuse.

Rajbhar, who is also the president of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), accused Samajwadi Party leaders of using abusive language against the Rajbhar and Dalit communities. In a post on social media, he claimed that the former Samajwadi Party district president of Mau had used objectionable language against the Rajbhar and Dalit communities.

Rajbhar targeted Akhilesh Yadav, saying that his entire gang had resorted to abuse and casteist venom. He remarked that a former Samajwadi Party district president had openly abused Rajbhars and Dalits, hurling abuses involving mothers and sisters.

The minister also targeted Akhilesh Yadav's knowledge of history, saying that his followers had not even seen 'Gadahiya Gol' but he had studied in English abroad. Rajbhar wrote that he should at least tell his followers the history of the Rajbhars and the 'Chamars', who are descendants of Maharaja Suheldev and Maharaj Chanwar Sen.

Rajbhar further wrote about the bravery of the Chamar Regiment in World War, saying that their tales are spread from Nagaland and Kohima to Singapore. He also mentioned Jeeta 'Chamar', a brave son of Etawah region and a revolutionary warrior, who drove the British out of Etawah with valour.

The minister appealed to Akhilesh Yadav to tell the truth about how the Yadav community views Rajbhars and 'Chamars'. He said that in the eyes of the Yadav community, they are not even human beings but are viewed as 'pairon ki jooti' (footwear) and 'keede-makode' (insects).

This attack by Rajbhar comes as the elections in Uttar Pradesh are approaching. The Samajwadi Party has been facing criticism from various quarters, and this latest attack by Rajbhar is likely to add to the party's woes.
