Bhopal Collector Inspects Waterlogged Banganga Area

Bhopal Collector Priyank Mishra inspected the waterlogged Banganga area on Monday night to assess the situation after heavy rainfall.

The Collector walked through the narrow lanes of the area and interacted with the residents to understand the problems they faced due to rainwater entering their homes.

He directed the Bhopal Municipal Corporation officials to immediately clean the clogged drains and ensure smooth water drainage.

Mishra instructed the officials to remove all obstructions that were hindering the flow of rainwater and work towards a permanent solution to the recurring waterlogging in the area.

The Collector also directed the officials to continuously monitor the waterlogging-prone locations during the monsoon season and ensure prompt action whenever complaints are received.

SDM TT Nagar Archana Sharma, along with officials from the municipal corporation and district administration, was present during the inspection.

The inspection was carried out after Bhopal received heavy rainfall, resulting in waterlogging in over 50 areas, including Kolar and Hoshangabad Road.

Minister Vishvas Sarang had also ordered drain cleaning in the affected areas.

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has been instructed to take immediate action to resolve the issue of waterlogging in the city.

The Collector's inspection and instructions are expected to bring relief to the residents of the Banganga area who have been facing problems due to waterlogging.

The monsoon season has brought heavy rainfall to Bhopal, causing waterlogging in many areas of the city.

The district administration and the municipal corporation are working together to resolve the issue and ensure that the city's drainage system functions smoothly.
