The Lokayukta conducted raids on the properties of MP Power Superintending Engineer Shivram Semil across Indore, Dhar, Pithampur, and Morena on Tuesday. The raids were carried out in response to a complaint of disproportionate assets.

The Lokayukta team, led by SP Rajesh Sahay, searched nine properties belonging to Semil, including luxury homes, multiple transformer factories, offices, plots, and vehicles. The total value of the assets uncovered was found to be ₹7.16 crore.

Semil, who has been working with the Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company for 33 years, was found to have amassed assets far exceeding his legitimate income. The estimated cost of his grand three-story residence in Silicon City is ₹1.2 crore.

A transformer manufacturing company was also found to be operating in the name of his son, Shubham, on a plot in Pithampur Sector 3. The factory covers an area of 880 square meters and has an estimated expenditure of ₹1.25 crore.

Multiple companies were found to be registered in the names of Semil's family members, including a firm called 'Karnish Powerzone' with a share capital of ₹50 lakh. This firm had purchased two plots in Pithampur Sector 3, where an old factory is established and a new factory is under construction.

The total expenditure incurred by Semil was found to be ₹6.5 crore, which is 258% more than his total net salary of ₹2 crore earned throughout his service period. The total value of his assets exceeds ₹7.16 crore.

The Lokayukta police have registered a case against Semil under the Prevention of Corruption Act. The action was taken after the raids uncovered assets that were disproportionate to his known income.

The raids were conducted simultaneously at nine locations, including Indore, Pithampur, Dhar, and Morena. The case against Semil is a significant one, highlighting the issue of corruption among government officials.

The Madhya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company has not commented on the raids or the allegations against Semil. The company is responsible for distributing electricity in the western zone of Madhya Pradesh.

The Lokayukta's action against Semil is part of its efforts to curb corruption in the state. The organization has been conducting raids and investigations against government officials and others accused of corruption.

The case against Semil is likely to have significant implications for the state government and the electricity distribution company. It highlights the need for greater transparency and accountability in government offices.

In conclusion, the Lokayukta's raids on Semil's properties have uncovered assets worth ₹7.16 crore, which are 258% more than his known income. The case against him is a significant one, and it highlights the issue of corruption among government officials.
