UP Govt Sets Up 1633 Flood Posts, 200 Medical Teams

The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has activated its administrative machinery to provide relief and rescue operations to people affected by floods in the state. As of Sunday, 17 districts in Uttar Pradesh are affected by floods, with around 1.70 lakh people impacted.

The administration has also deployed 525 boats and motorboats for relief and rescue operations in areas where floods have disrupted transportation. Furthermore, 254 flood shelters have been established, with 46 shelters currently operational, providing a safe haven for 1,151 people.

The affected districts include Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Ballia, Barabanki, Badaun, Chitrakoot, Farrukhabad, Hamirpur, Hardoi, and Kasganj, among others. The government's efforts are focused on providing immediate relief assistance to the affected population and keeping people safe.
