Gujarat Attracts $73.9 Billion FDI, Tops Investment Destination

Gujarat has emerged as the top investment destination in the country, with a cumulative foreign direct investment (FDI) of $73.9 billion between April 2020 and 2025. This was announced by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel at the 'Viksit Gujarat Summit 2026' held at GIFT City in Gandhinagar.

According to Patel, Gujarat's investment growth can be attributed to the success of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit and Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences. The state has consistently remained the country's top destination for cumulative FDI since 2019. Patel cited the recently released Investment Friendliness Index 2026 by NITI Aayog, which ranked Gujarat first in the country in attracting foreign capital for setting up businesses.
