Mumbai Doctors Discover Rare Ovarian Tumour With Two Cancers

A team of doctors at GT Hospital-CAMA and Albless Hospital in Mumbai has detected an extremely rare medical case of a 55-year-old woman with two different cancers within a single ovarian tumour. The tumour, measuring 27 cm, was found to contain papillary thyroid carcinoma and ovarian clear cell carcinoma.

According to Dr Palve, malignant transformation within a teratoma is uncommon, occurring in around 1-3% of cases.
