Aaditya Thackeray Highlights Hinjawadi's Infrastructure Issues

Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Aaditya Thackeray has expressed concern over the infrastructural issues plaguing Hinjawadi in Pune. On Sunday, Thackeray took to social media to highlight the problems faced by the area, comparing them to those in Chakan MIDC. He stated that Hinjawadi faces long-delayed infrastructure projects, terrible roads, traffic, and poor connectivity.

Thackeray's comments come after his visit to Chakan in Pune, where 20 companies have declared their intention to move to Khandala MIDC in Satara due to infrastructural issues. He criticized the current regime in Maharashtra, saying that they have harassed industries with corruption, compliance troubles, and infrastructural issues.

The MLA emphasized the need for quick intervention and a time-bound plan to address the issues. He also called for a third-party audit to ensure that the plans are delivered effectively. Thackeray argued that the Ease of Doing Business is not just about rolling out red carpets, but also about providing a conducive environment for industries to thrive.

Thackeray's visit to Chakan was prompted by the announcement of 20 industries that they are considering moving out of the area. He pointed out that this would result in a job loss of 5,000 people, which is a significant concern in the current economic climate. The MLA also highlighted the issue of corruption in the state, saying that it is on a per-square-metre basis for MIDC plots and is beyond control.

The Shiv Sena leader has been critical of the current regime in Maharashtra, saying that they are anti-youth and anti-Gen Z.
