Minor Fire Hits Kandivali West Commercial Premises

A minor fire broke out at a commercial premises on Charkop Road in Kandivali West, Mumbai, early on Wednesday. The fire was reported at 5.09 am and was declared a Level-I blaze at 5.20 am.

The Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) brought the fire under control after nearly three-and-a-half hours of firefighting. The blaze was confined to electrical wiring and installations, office furniture, records, and other stored materials.

According to the MFB, the fire damaged office furniture, records, computer accessories, electrical installations, and other stored materials. A temporary monsoon shed in the open area, along with tarpaulin, bamboo structures, an electric bike, and other stored materials, were also damaged.

The fire was brought under control and completely extinguished by 8.35 am. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

The commercial premises, located opposite Hindustan Naka in Kandivali West, has a loft spread over about 5,000 sq ft on each floor. The MFB responded quickly to the fire, and their efforts prevented the fire from spreading to other areas.
