MP Congress Demands NTA Dissolution Over Exam Irregularities

The Madhya Pradesh Congress has accused the Central government of failing to protect the country's examination system, citing repeated paper leaks, delayed recruitment, and rising unemployment.

The party's leaders, including former minister Priyavrat Singh, former Deputy Speaker Hina Kawre, City Congress president Chintu Chouksey, and state spokesperson Amit Chourasia, addressed a press conference at the Indore Press Club on Wednesday.

They highlighted the party's Chhatron Ki Goonj campaign, which aims to bring attention to students' concerns across the country.

The leaders alleged that students who participated in a peaceful march to Parliament in Delhi were met with police action instead of a resolution to their demands.

They claimed that police resorted to a lathi charge, women protesters were misbehaved with, and several students were injured.

The Congress leaders also criticized the detention of opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Akhilesh Yadav, while they were marching towards the Prime Minister's residence to raise students' issues.

The party alleged that 152 paper leak incidents over the past 12 years have affected more than 7.5 crore students, resulting in cancelled examinations, delayed results, and stalled recruitment.

For example, the alleged paper leak in NEET-UG 2026 forced the examination to be conducted again, raising serious concerns over transparency in the evaluation process.

The Congress leaders are demanding the dissolution of the National Testing Agency (NTA) due to its failure to conduct fair and transparent examinations.

The NTA has been responsible for conducting various entrance exams, including NEET and JEE.

The party's demand comes at a time when students across the country are facing uncertainty and frustration due to the irregularities in the examination system.

The Congress leaders have vowed to continue their campaign to highlight the issues faced by students and to push for reforms in the examination system.
