Six EHT Lines Achieve Four Years Without Breakdowns

In a significant achievement for Madhya Pradesh's power transmission sector, six Extra High Tension transmission lines under the MP Power Transmission Company's Indore region have completed four consecutive years of uninterrupted operation. This milestone, spanning around 1,500 days, highlights the robustness of the state's transmission infrastructure. The six transmission lines, including the 220 kV North Zone–Jaitpura line and several 132 kV lines, have operated breakdown-free despite adverse weather conditions such as storms, heavy rainfall, and lightning strikes.

State Energy Minister Pradyuman Singh Tomar attributed the success to the dedication and technical expertise of MP Transco's engineers, technical staff, and outsourced maintenance teams. He noted that 593 EHT transmission lines across Madhya Pradesh have remained breakdown-free over the past four years. The minister's statement underscores the effectiveness of MP Transco's maintenance practices and monitoring systems.

The achievement can be attributed to continuous preventive maintenance, regular inspections, and effective monitoring. MP Transco has strengthened its transmission network by adopting advanced technologies, including condition-based maintenance and modern monitoring systems. These efforts have significantly improved the performance and reliability of EHT transmission lines. Regular line patrolling, thermovision inspections, and special surveillance of vulnerable locations have also contributed to the breakdown-free operation.

The successful operation of these six transmission lines for four years without a breakdown demonstrates MP Transco's commitment to operational excellence. It highlights the resilience and reliability of the state's power transmission network. The use of drone-based inspections and online condition monitoring has enabled the early detection and rectification of potential faults. Effective corridor management, timely vegetation clearance, and preventive maintenance of insulators and conductors have also played a crucial role in maintaining the reliability of these critical transmission assets.

The milestone achieved by MP Transco has significant implications for the state's power sector. It ensures a reliable supply of electricity to consumers, supporting economic growth and development. The achievement also reflects the state's focus on improving its infrastructure and providing quality services to its citizens. As Madhya Pradesh continues to strengthen its power transmission network, it is likely to attract more investments and support the growth of industries and businesses in the state.

In related news, Indore has begun the trial run of PM e-buses, marking another significant development in the state's infrastructure sector. While this is a separate initiative, it underscores the state's commitment to improving its services and infrastructure. The trial run of e-buses is expected to reduce pollution and provide a convenient mode of transportation for citizens. As the state continues to focus on improving its infrastructure, it is likely to have a positive impact on the lives of its citizens and support the overall development of Madhya Pradesh.

The future of Madhya Pradesh's power transmission sector looks promising, with MP Transco's commitment to operational excellence and its focus on adopting advanced technologies. The state's efforts to improve its infrastructure are expected to support economic growth and provide quality services to its citizens. As the power transmission network continues to strengthen, it is likely to have a positive impact on the state's economy and support the growth of industries and businesses in the region.
