The company's consolidated financial results for the April-June quarter showed a 28 percent year-on-year increase in consolidated profit after tax to Rs 6,081 crore for Q1 FY27. This was driven by a strong increase in core income and an improvement in the lender's asset quality.

The combination of robust profit growth, higher net interest income, and lower bad-loan ratios boosted investor sentiment towards the stock. Bajaj Finance shares opened at Rs 1,095 and touched a fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,136.80 during the session.

The company's market capitalisation stood at around Rs 7.04 lakh crore. The strong buying interest followed the announcement of its consolidated financial results for the April-June quarter.

The improvement in asset quality and increase in core income have contributed to the company's strong performance. The lender's ability to manage its assets effectively and generate higher income has resulted in increased investor confidence.

The surge in Bajaj Finance shares is a positive sign for the company and the non-banking financial sector as a whole. The company's strong Q1 results have set a positive tone for the rest of the year, and investors will be closely watching the company's future performance.
