According to SP Anurag Sujania, Chandu Rajput claims to be the divisional chief of Karni Sena. The police have seized a large quantity of spurious liquor and manufacturing equipment from a maize field belonging to Chandu Rajput.

The seized items include 164 empty quarter-bottles, 27 litres of substandard liquor, and various packaging materials. The police have also arrested 16 suspects out of 30 named suspects in the case.

The spurious liquor was manufactured using a formula provided by an interstate liquor smuggler, Ravi Lakhera. The liquor was supplied to several villages in the area, resulting in the deaths of 30 people.

The police have announced a reward of ₹20,000 for information leading to the arrest of Ravi Lakhera as well. A reward of ₹10,000 has been announced for information leading to the arrest of the other absconding suspects.
