Jalgaon Police Launch 'Mission RISE' Against Drugs

Jalgaon District Superintendent of Police Shrikant Dhivare emphasized the importance of teaching social responsibility and moral values to young people, in addition to providing higher education. He was speaking at G.H. Raisoni College as part of 'Mission RISE', a drug-awareness initiative under the State Government's Drug-Free Maharashtra Campaign.

Dhivare stressed that the energy and potential of young people should be directed towards nation-building, rather than addiction. He highlighted the need for participation from students, parents, educational institutions, and society as a whole to prevent drug abuse.

G.H. Raisoni Institute Director Prof. Dr Preeti Agrawal appreciated the Jalgaon Police for taking the campaign directly to educational institutions. She warned that drug abuse can adversely affect a student's health, education, career, and family life, and urged students to stay away from addiction.

The programme was attended by Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Gavit, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Nitin Ganpure, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sahyadri Birde, and G.H. Raisoni College Academic Dean Prof. Dr Sanjay Shek.
