2 Workers Killed in Crane Accident in Haryana's Panchkula

Two workers were killed in a tragic industrial accident at Industrial Area Phase-2 in Haryana's Panchkula on Thursday. The accident occurred around 3:30 pm when a crane lost balance while lifting a heavy generator to the rooftop of a company building.

The crane was lifting the generator to the fourth-floor rooftop of Milliams Engineer Solutions, located at Plot No. 310, when it became unstable. The two workers, who were sitting on top of the generator, fell along with it and sustained critical injuries.

The victims, identified as Manish from Bihar and Naveen from Himachal Pradesh, were rushed to the Sector-6 Civil Hospital but were declared dead on arrival. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed near the site, which showed the crane coming down heavily and damaging electric wires.

The falling generator also caused damage to the electrical infrastructure in the area, disrupting the local power supply. An electricity pole was damaged, and power lines were affected. Fortunately, no other person on the road was injured, although officials said the consequences could have been more severe had anyone been passing underneath at the time.
