UPPCL Boosts Power Safety For Kanwar Yatra

The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has intensified preparations to ensure uninterrupted power supply across the state during the upcoming Kanwar Yatra.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Energy Department has made comprehensive preparations to provide safe and smooth power supply to devotees.

Additional Chief Secretary (Energy) and Chairman of UPPCL, Dr. Ashish Kumar Goyal, chaired a review meeting with DISCOM officials and issued clear directions to complete all necessary maintenance work related to electrical safety at public and religious places before the commencement of the Kanwar Yatra.

Dr. Goyal directed that incidents of transformer failures must be reduced and Superintending Engineers should remain vigilant in this regard.

UPPCL has also emphasized strict compliance with safety standards during maintenance work, directing officials to ensure that all employees wear safety equipment while carrying out work.

Regular field inspections will be conducted, and local faults will be promptly rectified to maintain uninterrupted power supply, especially during the monsoon season.

Adequate electrical materials are available in all regions of the state, and Executive Engineers have been provided with financial powers and funds to procure the required materials at the local level.

This will enable power supply to be restored in the shortest possible time in the event of natural disasters or adverse weather conditions.
