MP Teachers' E-Attendance Cut-Off Time Set at 10:45 AM

The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) in Madhya Pradesh has introduced a new e-attendance system for teachers and school employees. As per the instructions, all employees are required to mark their attendance between 9:45 am and 10:45 am.

The DPI has stated that e-attendance marked after 10:45 am will not be considered valid, and the employee will be responsible for providing a reason for the delay. This move is aimed at ensuring punctuality and regularity among teachers and school staff.

Earlier, the cut-off time for marking attendance was 10:30 am, but it has been relaxed to 10:45 am following protests from teachers. Although no formal order has been issued regarding the change, the revised timing has started reflecting on the portal.

The DPI has also instructed all District Education Officers (DEOs) to identify schools where telecom network connectivity is unavailable. This is to facilitate the rejoining process for guest teachers who were engaged against vacant posts during the 2025-26 academic session. In schools without network connectivity, guest teachers were unable to complete the rejoining process and their honorarium could not be processed.
