Rewa Police Seize ₹10 Crore MD Drugs
Rewa police seize MD drugs, arrest 2 suspects. Drugs valued at ₹10 crore

Rewa police in Madhya Pradesh made a significant seizure on Tuesday, confiscating MD drugs worth approximately ₹10 crore in the international market. The seizure was made after police received a tip-off about two alleged drug peddlers from Sonvarsha village transporting a large quantity of the drug.
The police intercepted the suspects and recovered 3,087g of MD drug. According to Rewa superintendent of police Gurkaran Singh, the suspects had allegedly procured the drug from an illegal factory in Mauganj, which was busted by police on Monday. The factory had been producing the drug, and police had seized material worth ₹1.28 crore during the raid.
The two suspects, identified as Mandap Singh and Gyanbhushan Sharma, were arrested in connection with the seizure. Mandap Singh, a science graduate, allegedly had links with Mumbai and was involved in supplying the drug to Mumbai and Nagpur. His family works in a chemical production factory, which may have provided him with the necessary knowledge to produce the drug.
Police investigations revealed that the raw material used to produce the drug was sourced from Gujarat and Bihar. The seizure is a significant blow to the drug supply network, and police are continuing their investigations to uncover more details about the operation.
The arrest of the two suspects and the seizure of the MD drugs is a major achievement for the Rewa police, who have been cracking down on drug trafficking in the region. The police are working to disrupt the supply chain and bring those involved in the illegal trade to justice.
The case highlights the need for continued efforts to combat drug trafficking and the importance of cooperation between law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices. The Rewa police will continue to investigate the matter and work to prevent the spread of illegal drugs in the region.
In a separate development, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of the Bhopal division of the West Central Railway recently reunited a separated young girl with her family, showcasing the humanitarian work of the railways. However, this incident is unrelated to the drug seizure and arrest made by the Rewa police.
The Rewa police's seizure of the MD drugs and arrest of the two suspects is a significant step forward in the fight against drug trafficking, and the police will continue to work tirelessly to keep the region safe from the scourge of illegal drugs.
