Ceigall India Wins ₹5,300 Crore Gujarat Power Project

Ceigall India has been awarded a ₹5,300 crore transmission project in Gujarat by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited. The project involves developing a common transmission system to evacuate power from three key generation zones in the state: Lakadia, Jam Khambhaliya, and Jamnagar.

The contract includes the construction of a 765/400 kV air-insulated substation and approximately 300 kilometres of transmission lines. The system will facilitate power evacuation from Lakadia Phase-II, Jam Khambhaliya Phase-II, and Jamnagar Phase-I, with capacities of 7.5 GW, 5.5 GW, and 1 GW, respectively.

The project is expected to be completed within 36 months, and after commissioning, Ceigall India will operate the transmission asset for 35 years. The company will receive annual transmission charges of ₹608.67 crore throughout the operational period, providing a long-duration revenue stream.
