MP Cabinet Replaces RGPV With 3 New Universities

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet has approved a proposal to replace the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV) with three separate universities.

The Ujjain-based autonomous engineering college will be established as Malwa Proudyogiki Evam Kaushal Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, while the Jabalpur-based autonomous engineering college will be developed as Mahakaushal Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya.

The Bhopal-based university will cover the Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Chambal, and Gwalior divisions. The Ujjain university will cover the Ujjain and Indore divisions, while the Jabalpur-based university will cover the Jabalpur, Rewa, Sagar, and Shahdol divisions.

The Cabinet has also approved the constitution of a Madhya Pradesh Technology University Empowered Committee to accelerate the establishment of the three universities. The committee will be headed by the Chief Secretary and will include members from various departments.
