BJP Reviews Datia By-Election Defeat

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a review of its defeat in the Datia by-election, held in Madhya Pradesh. On Tuesday, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and state unit president Hemant Khandelwal convened a meeting at the CM House in Bhopal to discuss the election outcome with in-charges appointed in different regions of the district.

Yadav and Khandelwal also questioned other leaders, including Rao Uday Pratap Singh, about the party's poor performance in Datia city, as well as Satendra Bhushan Singh and Dharmendra Lodhi regarding the results in Badauni and Basai, respectively.

The in-charges reported that traditional BJP supporters, including Brahmins and Kushwahas, cast fewer votes in favor of the party. MP Bharat Singh Kushwaha shared his perspectives on the Kushwaha community's voting patterns.

Notably, Narottam Mishra, who was appointed as the coordinator for the Datia by-election, was not present at the meeting. Arvind Bhadoria and Keshav Bhadoria also did not participate in the discussion.
