Navi Mumbai: CIDCO Removes Encroachments From 4 Ulwe Sectors

Navi Mumbai's City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) and Ulwe police have removed encroachments and unauthorised markets from four sectors in Ulwe. The joint drive, which took place on August 29, 30, and 31, cleared obstructions from sectors 9, 17, 20, and 21.

The enforcement action was carried out to remove vendors conducting unauthorised businesses on public roads and footpaths, as well as handcarts and materials obstructing traffic. According to CIDCO Chief Controller Vishal Dhage, public roads and footpaths are meant for the movement of pedestrians and vehicles, and cannot be occupied for unauthorised commercial activities.

The drive was undertaken on the orders of the Chief Vigilance Officer, under Dhage's guidance, and was led by Controller Amit Rajput. CIDCO officials and employees, security guards, Ulwe police personnel, workers, and tempo operators participated in the operation.
