School Van Crashes in Bhopal, 2 Injured
A school van crashed into an electric pole, injuring a teacher and a student.

A school van carrying six children crashed into an electric pole on the Kohefiza flyover in Bhopal on Thursday morning. The accident occurred when the van, which had the names of Sian International School and Bhopal Girls School on it, was travelling from Panchwati to the school.
The van went out of control and crashed into the pole in front of the Kohefiza police station. A woman staff member sitting in the front seat suffered a head injury, and a female student sitting next to her was also injured.
Five other children in the van escaped without injuries. People nearby rushed to help and safely rescued the children from the van. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to KG Shukla, the in-charge of Kohefiza police station, the initial investigation suggests that a large vehicle suddenly came in front of the school van, causing the driver to lose control. Police also suspect that the van may have had a brake problem.
The driver reportedly tried to stop the vehicle by crashing it into the pole to avoid a bigger accident. The van will undergo a technical inspection to determine the exact cause of the accident, and the driver will be questioned.
The injured staff member is receiving treatment, and all the children are safe. The children were later sent to their destination in another vehicle.
