Rohit Pawar Rules Out Sharad Pawar Joining BJP

Rohit Pawar, Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) MLA, has ruled out any possibility of veteran leader Sharad Pawar joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). This statement was made on Tuesday while speaking to reporters after visiting the Wakad Police Station.

Pawar stated that Sharad Pawar has spent the last 65 years fighting the BJP's ideology and will never align with the party. He emphasized that Sharad Pawar's ideology is fundamentally opposed to that of the BJP and that he will always carry forward the progressive ideology of Shivaji, Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Rohit Pawar also addressed recent speculation about Sharad Pawar's meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that it was only to discuss issues concerning farmers and students. He claimed that the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan was a result of pressure created by the youth.

The NCP-SP MLA also demanded strict action against the accused in the Wakad sexual assault case and urged the police to ensure the victim's family is protected. He alleged that the Maharashtra government has failed to effectively address crimes against women and children, citing statistics that around 24 women are assaulted every day in the state and 10 to 12 cases under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act are reported daily.

Pawar emphasized the need for stricter laws and criticized the government for neglecting the implementation of the Shakti Act. He also expressed his disappointment with the criticism of the youth by BJP leaders, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP leaders should understand the teachings of Lord Buddha, which are based on humanity.

The speculation about Sharad Pawar joining the BJP or NDA has been ongoing, but Rohit Pawar's statement has put the rumors to rest. The NCP-SP has always maintained its opposition to the BJP's ideology, and it seems that this stance will not change.

In the context of Maharashtra politics, the NCP-SP has been a key player in the state's coalition government. The party's stance on various issues, including women's rights and education, has been consistent with its progressive ideology.

The Wakad sexual assault case has highlighted the need for stricter laws and more effective implementation of existing laws. The Maharashtra government has faced criticism for its handling of crimes against women and children, and the NCP-SP has been vocal about the need for change.

In conclusion, Rohit Pawar's statement has clarified the NCP-SP's stance on Sharad Pawar joining the BJP or NDA. The party's commitment to its progressive ideology and its opposition to the BJP's ideology remain unchanged. The focus now shifts to the implementation of stricter laws and more effective measures to address crimes against women and children in Maharashtra.
