Bandra Police Detain 3 In Road-Rage Assault

Garewal, 39, and his wife, Bhakti, were returning to their residence in Mahim after dinner at his parents' house in Juhu. According to Garewal, the accused deliberately drove slowly in front of his car, prompting him to honk. When he overtook their vehicle, they chased him and rammed his car near a petrol pump.

Garewal's wife called the 100 helpline, and a police team reached the spot. The police detained three of the accused, while others allegedly fled. The accused allegedly stopped Garewal's vehicle near Bandra Lake and assaulted him with fists and kicks. They also damaged the car windows with a hockey stick and attempted to hit Garewal with a baseball bat.

The police registered an FIR against the accused under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for allegedly assaulting Garewal and criminally intimidating him. The accused were later released after being served notices.

Garewal expressed disappointment that no one came forward to help him during the incident. The police are still investigating the incident and are searching for the other accused who fled the scene.
