ICSI Conducts CS Career Awareness Programme in Vasai

The Western India Regional Council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India conducted a Career Awareness Programme at St. Gonsalo Garcia College of Arts & Commerce in Vasai on August 3, 2026.

The event aimed to create awareness among students about the opportunities and career prospects in the Company Secretary profession. It was conducted under the leadership of CS Yogesh Choudhary, Chairman of ICSI-WIRC.

The session was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Self Finance Department of the college. Around 180 students from the first year of self-financing and B.Com courses attended the session.

During the session, students were informed about the role and importance of Company Secretaries, the CS course, and the direct entry route to the Executive Programme for graduates. The benefits of pursuing a professional qualification along with a degree were also highlighted.

The college authorities appreciated the efforts of the WIRC of ICSI for delivering an informative and inspiring session. The Principal, Prof. Dr. Somnath Vibhute, Vice-Principal, Prof. Sartiha Kurien, Administrator, Rev. Fr. Dr. Anil Pereira, and Coordinator & Asst. Professor, CMA Dr. Tushar Raut, thanked the institute for motivating students to explore new career opportunities.
