FM Jaiveer Mahendru has emerged as the sole leader of the Asian Junior Open Classical Chess Championship after a stunning victory over International Master Aaditya Dhingra in the fourth round at the ITC Maratha Sheraton, Mumbai.
Jaiveer, rated 2326, upset the higher-rated Dhingra (2403) to maintain a perfect score of 4/4.

WFM Mariya Kholyavko of Kazakhstan and FM Prishita Gupta of India remained in close pursuit after scoring important victories over WFM Nivedita V C and WCM Akshaya Sathi respectively.
