CM Suvendu Adhikari Visits Birbhum, Reviews Development

Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari visited Birbhum on Saturday to hold an administrative meeting.

He mentioned that a roadmap for Deucha Pachami is being prepared and discussed the issue.

Adhikari stated that a big staying lodge will be built for middle-class and lower-middle-class people.

He also heard grievances from the opposition and discussed other developmental works.

Adhikari emphasized the need to develop Birbhum, citing its cultural significance as the home of Ma Tara, Baul, and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

Before the meeting, Adhikari visited Tarapith temple and offered prayers.

He also reviewed preparations for Kaushiki Amavasya, which is nearing.

Adhikari mentioned that camps will be set up within a five-kilometer distance, and ORS water will be served to devotees.

Temporary medical camps will also be opened, and petals of flowers will be showered on devotees from helicopters.

Adhikari expressed his condolences for the demise of former Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA and Deputy Speaker Dr. Ashish Banerjee.

He stated that the ongoing crusade against corruption and investigations of Tarapith Rampurhat Development Authority (TRDA) will continue.

After the administrative meeting, Adhikari visited the house of Ashish Banerjee.

He told the media that the family member of Banerjee had informed him that neither the administration nor the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had provoked him.
