Kartik Aaryan

Kartik Aaryan (born Kartik Tiwari in 1990) is a Hindi-cinema actor who made his debut in Luv Ranjan's ensemble comedy Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), where a lengthy monologue first drew attention to him. He built his reputation on youth-oriented romantic comedies such as Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luka Chuppi and Pati Patni Aur Woh, emerging as one of the leading young stars of contemporary Bollywood. He later broadened his range with darker and more dramatic roles in the thrillers Dhamaka and Freddy and the sports biopic Chandu Champion. His rise from an engineering student with no film-industry connections to a mainstream lead is frequently cited as a notable outsider success story.

Honours: Won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for Chandu Champion at the 70th Filmfare Awards (2025), shared in a tie with Abhishek Bachchan; has also won Zee Cine Awards (Best Actor in a Comic Role for Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Pati Patni Aur Woh) and a Stardust Award for his comic performances.
