Sanjay Dutt is a Hindi-cinema actor and the son of screen legends Sunil Dutt and Nargis, who launched his career in his father's 1981 film Rocky. Across a career spanning more than four decades he became one of Bollywood's most recognisable leading men, working across action dramas, romance and comedy. He is best known for intense gangster roles in Khalnayak and Vaastav: The Reality and for the beloved comic character Munna Bhai. His off-screen legal troubles, including a conviction under the Arms Act for illegal weapons possession linked to the 1993 Bombay blasts case, kept him one of Indian cinema's most followed public figures and inspired the 2018 biopic Sanju.

Honours: Two Filmfare Awards — Best Actor for Vaastav: The Reality (2000) and Best Comedian for Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2004) — along with wins at the IIFA, Star Screen, Stardust and Zee Cine Awards.
