Nehru Science Centre Hosts AI Prompt Art 2026 Exhibition

The National Space Week 2026 celebrations commenced at the Nehru Science Centre in Mumbai on August 16, with the inauguration of a special session organised by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.

Prof. Mayank Vahia, a retired scientist from TIFR, delivered the first session, speaking on the topic of space exploration beyond Earth.

Following this session, the AI Prompt Art 2026 Exhibition was inaugurated, showcasing the intersection of art, science, technology, and artificial intelligence.

The exhibition, which will remain open until August 23, features 30 selected artworks on the theme of India's lunar exploration, inspired by the country's Chandrayaan missions.

A total of 210 entries were received from school students, college students, and space enthusiasts, with the selected artworks showcasing creative interpretations of lunar vehicles, habitats, and space agriculture.

The exhibition is part of the National Space Week 2026 celebrations, organised by the Nehru Science Centre in association with the National Centre for Science Communicators.

In addition to the exhibition, a 'Space Explorer' family workshop was also organised, where participants created models of the Chandrayaan-3 mission and engaged in various space-themed activities.

The workshop saw the participation of 8 families, with each family consisting of four members.
