Mathura Admin Helps Family After Viral School Fee Waiver Appeal

The Mathura district administration has come to the aid of a financially struggling family from Bhatain village in the Kosi Kalan area.

The family's appeal for a waiver of school fees for its children had gone viral on social media during the Kanwar Yatra.

District Magistrate CP Singh took cognisance of the matter on Wednesday and directed officials to conduct an immediate inquiry and provide necessary assistance to the family.

A joint team comprising the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Chhata and the Basic Education Officer visited Bhatain village to assess the family's circumstances.

The family, comprising Bharat, his wife, and their four children, was found to be facing financial difficulties. Bharat, who previously worked in a job, is now running a small grocery shop, while his wife contributes to the household income through tailoring work.

Their eldest daughter studies at Nagar Palika Inter College, where no tuition fee is charged. The other three children attend Adarsh Vidya Mandir in Kosi Kalan.

While the school had already waived the fee for one child, the administration intervened and got the fees of the other two children waived as well.

The children were also provided with two sets of school uniforms each, along with books, school bags, and other educational supplies.

The family's house had been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban, with Rs 2.5 lakh sanctioned. The first instalment of Rs 1 lakh has already been released, and construction is underway.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate has also taken personal responsibility for monitoring the children's education and ensuring assistance whenever required.

This move by the Mathura district administration is a heartwarming example of how social media can be used to bring attention to the needs of those in distress.

The administration's swift response to the family's appeal has ensured that the children can continue their education without any interruptions.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban has also provided the family with a chance to own a home, which will further improve their living conditions.

In conclusion, the Mathura district administration's actions have brought relief to a family in need, and their efforts will have a positive impact on the family's future.
