LBSITM Indore Hosts Induction Program, Awards Toppers ₹20,000

Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Technology and Management (LBSITM) in Indore recently organised its Induction Program under the chairmanship of institute Chairman Anil Shastri. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including motivational speaker Sandeep Atre as the chief guest and Mahima Jain, AGM of ETT, as the guest of honour.

The program began with floral tributes and lamp lighting before Goddess Saraswati, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Deepak Agrawal, Director of the Indore campus. Akanksha Purohit compered the program, while PRO and Chronicle newsletter editor Mrs. Kavita Natu gave a detailed briefing on the newsletter.

As part of the program, the institute felicitated its toppers with cash awards under the Kanhaiyalal Bhargav and Smt. Shashi Prabha Bhargav Memorial Academic Excellence Award. MBA topper Paridhi Mehta received a certificate and a cash prize of ₹20,000, while BBA topper Pratham Goswami and ITI topper Rohit Chauhan each received a certificate and ₹10,000.

In his address, chief guest Sandeep Atre emphasized the importance of books as a source of knowledge, cautioning students against relying too heavily on technology. He urged them to follow the path of wisdom symbolised by Goddess Saraswati, quoting a Sanskrit verse on the value of knowledge.

Chairman Anil Shastri spoke about the institute's commitment to education and service, noting that the Indore campus strives to contribute to the future of the state and country through a blend of modern and traditional education systems. He said that the institute aims to follow the values and principles of his father, former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Lal Bahadur Shastri, and contribute to national development through education.

Advisor Adarsh Shastri noted that LBSITM is among the country's leading management institutes, with campuses in several locations. He added that the institute is soon opening a new campus in Hyderabad and plans to open another in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, which will enable it to attain the status of a Top Global Management Institute.

The event's success was made possible through contributions from several staff and faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Sumit Chopra, Admissions In-charge Lav Wadia, and ITI Principal Deepak Dehria.
