Man Dies After Train Hits Him
A 32-year-old man died after being hit by a train in Bhopal. Police suspect mobile phone distraction.

A 32-year-old man, Manish Prajapati, died instantly after being hit by a train while crossing the railway tracks in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday night. The incident occurred near Barkhedi under the Aishbagh police station area.
According to the police, Prajapati, a resident of Neemwali Sadak area in Jahangirabad, was on his way to visit a friend living in Aishbagh on foot when the accident happened. He had left his home for a walk after dinner around 11:30 pm.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Prajapati was looking at his mobile phone screen while crossing the tracks, which may have caused the accident. The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
The body was sent for a post-mortem examination and was handed over to the family on Wednesday afternoon. The police are investigating all aspects of the incident, which appears to be an accident.
This incident is similar to a previous one in 2024, where a 20-year-old student died after being hit by a train while sitting on a railway track with his headphones on, engrossed in his mobile phone. The police are cautioning people to be aware of their surroundings while using their mobile phones, especially near railway tracks.
The Aishbagh police are still investigating the incident and have not ruled out any possibilities. The family of the deceased has been informed, and the police are providing them with necessary support.
