Indore Police Arrest Six For ₹7 Lakh Robbery

A group of six men were arrested by the Indore police for allegedly robbing a man of ₹7 lakh in the Palasia area. The suspects, who included a self-proclaimed advocate, used a fake Crime Branch identity to commit the crime.

The incident occurred when the complainant, Abhay Tiwari, was contacted by the suspects with a promise of providing him USDT worth around ₹7 lakh. He was asked to bring cash and meet the suspects near Saket Square. After reaching the area, the suspects took him to an isolated place on the pretext of counting the money, where they introduced themselves as Crime Branch officials and started assaulting him.

The suspects then took ₹7 lakh from him and fled the scene. Following the complaint, the police formed six teams to identify and arrest the suspects. The teams were led by Palasia police station in-charge Surendra Singh Raghuvanshi and were supervised by senior officers.

The police first prepared sketches based on the description provided by the complainant and examined CCTV footage and technical evidence. During the investigation, police found that some suspects frequently visited a cafe near Bengali Square. The movements of two suspects, identified as Ayush and Kuldeep, were examined, and technical evidence showed that both were present around the location at the time of the incident.

The suspects initially tried to mislead the police and denied their involvement. However, the police continued tracking their movements and eventually caught two of them near the Khajrana service road. The two suspects, identified as Shashank Pardesi and Vishal Sharma, allegedly revealed details of the robbery plan during questioning.

The other suspects, including advocate Ashutosh Pradhan, Deepesh Solanki, Ayush Singh Panwar, and Kuldeep Singh Thapa, were also arrested after their identities were matched with CCTV and technical evidence. The police recovered part of the cash allegedly looted from the complainant and are still searching for another suspect, Monu alias Vivek Pardesi.
