Panvel Municipal Corporation Holds Voter Enumeration Camps

The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) will hold special voter enumeration camps at 574 polling stations across the Panvel Assembly constituency on July 18 and 19. The camps, which will be open from 10 am to 4 pm, aim to facilitate voters in completing the enumeration process as part of the Election Commission of India's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls for 2026.

The SIR exercise is being conducted to ensure that electoral rolls are accurate, updated, and transparent. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be present at their respective polling stations to distribute and collect enumeration forms and address queries related to the SIR exercise.

The Election Commission has launched the Special Intensive Revision programme to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the electoral roll. As part of the revision drive, BLOs have been conducting door-to-door visits across the Panvel Municipal Corporation area from June 30 to July 29, verifying voter information and supporting documents.

PMC Commissioner and Additional District Election Registration Officer Mangesh Chitale has urged citizens to cooperate with BLOs by providing accurate information and the required documents during the verification process. Electoral Registration Officer and Sub-Divisional Officer Pawan Chandak said the revision aims to make the electoral rolls more accurate and transparent.

Voters can also fill out the enumeration form online through the Election Commission's voter portal or the ECINet mobile application after verifying their details and those of their family members in the electoral roll. Citizens have been advised to visit the same polling station where they usually cast their vote to submit the enumeration form.

Those whose names, or the names of their family members, are missing from the electoral roll should keep supporting documents such as a birth certificate, educational certificate, residence proof, Aadhaar card, or other relevant documents ready.

The administration has also appealed to all political parties in the Panvel Assembly constituency to ensure that their Booth Level Agents (BLAs) participate in the special camps and assist eligible voters.

The Special Intensive Revision exercise is a significant step towards ensuring the accuracy and transparency of electoral rolls in the Panvel Assembly constituency. By participating in the enumeration process, citizens can help ensure that their names are included in the electoral roll and that they can exercise their right to vote in future elections.

The success of the SIR exercise depends on the active participation of eligible voters. The PMC has urged citizens to take advantage of the special camps and submit their enumeration forms to ensure that their names are included in the electoral roll.

In conclusion, the Panvel Municipal Corporation's special voter enumeration camps on July 18 and 19 are an important opportunity for citizens to participate in the electoral process and ensure that their names are included in the electoral roll. By cooperating with BLOs and providing accurate information, citizens can help make the electoral rolls more accurate and transparent.

The SIR exercise is a significant step towards strengthening democracy in the Panvel Assembly constituency. By ensuring that electoral rolls are accurate and up-to-date, the Election Commission can help prevent errors and discrepancies in the electoral process.

Overall, the special voter enumeration camps are an important initiative that aims to promote transparency and accuracy in the electoral process. Citizens are urged to participate in the exercise and help make the electoral rolls more accurate and transparent.

The Panvel Municipal Corporation's efforts to conduct the SIR exercise are commendable, and citizens are encouraged to cooperate with the authorities to ensure the success of the exercise. By working together, citizens and the administration can help ensure that the electoral rolls are accurate, updated, and transparent, and that the democratic process is strengthened in the Panvel Assembly constituency.

The special voter enumeration camps on July 18 and 19 are a significant opportunity for citizens to participate in the electoral process and shape the future of democracy in the Panvel Assembly constituency. Citizens are urged to take advantage of this opportunity and submit their enumeration forms to ensure that their names are included in the electoral roll.
