UP Cabinet Approves ₹25.78 Crore For 49 Fire Tenders

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has approved a ₹25.78 crore plan to procure 49 fire tenders for emergency services.

The decision was taken to further strengthen the Fire and Emergency Services in the state. The plan includes the construction and procurement of 44 water tenders and 5 foam tenders.

Out of the 44 water tenders, 5 will be constructed to meet new requirements, while 39 will replace obsolete vehicles. The 5 foam tenders will have a capacity of 5,000+500 litres.

All the vehicles will be equipped with chassis, high-pressure pumps, fabrication, and the required accessories.

According to Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, the decision was taken to ensure swift and effective control over fire incidents in rural, urban, and industrial areas.

The minister pointed out that the new fire tenders are needed to extinguish fires in congested localities, densely populated urban areas, and industrial units.

The smaller water tenders are being arranged for locations where conventional fire engines are unable to reach for firefighting operations.
