UP Aims To Lead Country In Skill Development

The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is working tirelessly to connect the state's youth with modern technology, industry requirements, and employment-oriented skills.

Minister of State for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Kapil Dev Agarwal recently reviewed the department's work and stated that the government's objective is to make every youth skilled and provide better opportunities for employment and self-employment. He directed officials to ensure the timely, transparent, and quality implementation of all departmental schemes.

Agarwal emphasized the importance of introducing short-term and employment-oriented skill courses for youth, including subjects such as soft skills, digital learning, and communication skills. He also stressed the need for strong coordination with industries to provide training programmes that meet local industry requirements.

The minister instructed officials to disseminate information about employment fairs being organised at ITIs and Skill Development Institutes to as many youth as possible. He also reviewed the skilling programmes being conducted in Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya and instructed officials to begin skilling courses in Ashram Paddhati Schools from next month.

The UP government's efforts in skill development are part of its 'Project Praveen' initiative, which aims to shape the future of the state's youth. The government intends not only to provide training but also to connect youth with employment after training. To achieve this, the department will establish strong coordination with industries and conduct training programmes in accordance with local industry requirements.

The minister also instructed officials to widely publicise the success stories of trained youth, sharing their videos, experiences, and achievements through social media and other platforms. This is expected to inspire more young people to join the skill development programmes and acquire technical skills.

The UP government's focus on skill development is expected to have a positive impact on the state's youth, providing them with better employment opportunities and enhancing their employability. With the government's efforts, Uttar Pradesh is likely to become a leading state in skill development, connecting its youth with modern technology and industry requirements.
